    Reasons 1 - It is vintage. 2 - It is extensive. 3 - It is racial and biased. Read it for the experience back then. 4 - It is English. 5 - It is vegetarian. That said, though it contains generalization such as 'vegetarians are poor' or 'you should be a vegetarian to save money' it is a treatise of extensive veg recipes made in England in the 1800s and contains interesting anecdotes and snippets, and stories related to food of England's conquest in the east. The book is huge (900 pages). Some of the recipes contains eggs but for the most part, the recipes are really good and timeless. It can be read just for the vintage experience of food, language, pricing and views (racist) that existed back then. Overall a good book.
